PALESTINE-ISRAEL" A Documentary by Michel Khleifi and Eyal SivanDVD
FORMAT(4:30 hours) OPEN TO GENERAL PUBLIC!For two months, Michel Khleifi and
Eyal Sivan, a Palestinian and an Israeli, travelled together from the south
to the north of their country. To realize this journey in their native land,
they drew their itinerary on a map and named it "route 181". This virtual
line followed the borders of Resolution 181 adopted by the United Nations on
November 29 1947 that was planning the partition of Palestine in two states,
one Jewish and one Arab. DEBATE ON THE FILM 14.3. 2005, Monday!!!

GUEST LECTURE: MARC RIES

TITLE: "geoaesthetic strategies of the new-media habitat in a globalised
world"

A lecture will be on >relational space< and the connection of space with
new-media-habitat and processes.

Marc Ries, Mag. Dr. phil., Culture- and Mediatheorist. From 1989 onward
teachings in Austria and Germany. SS 2000 _ WS 2001 professor for
"Comparative Image Theory" at the F.-Schiller-University in Jena. Projects
and publications in the field of mass-media, culture, architecture and art.
Current publication: Medienkulturen. Sonderzahl, Vienna 2002. From 1997 til
2001 head of the art and culture provider THE THING Vienna
[thing.at].

Language: German and discussion in German/English.
