TALK ON ARTIST`S UNIONS

an informal Talk / Presentation about Artist Organizations, with a focus on
UKK (Young Artworkers and Critics in Denmark) and IG Bildende Kunst
(Vienna). (discussion held in english)

Kristina Ask (of the Free Floating Faculty and UKK) will talk about the
Organisation Young Artworkers in Denmark (UKK). She will share some of the
research that has been done about historical examples of art workers
unionising: the Artists' Union/Women's workshop in the UK in the early 1970s
and The Art Workers Coalition in the US in the late 1960s.

Daniela Koweindl and Petja Dimitrova from IG Bildende Kunst will be present
and tell about their practice, aims and struggles in vienna.

Austauschverhältnisse von Kunst und Revolution: Gustave Courbets Engagement
in der Pariser Commune, deutsche Aktivismen der 1910er Jahre,
postrevolutionäre sowjetische Kunst um Eisenstein und Tretjakov, die
Situationistische Internationale im Pariser Mai 1968, das Aufeinanderprallen
der Wiener Aktionisten und der StudentInnenbewegung in der Aktion "Kunst und
Revolution", und schließlich die Genealogie der VolxTheaterKarawane von
einem anarchischen Theaterkollektiv der 1990er zu einer transversalen
Verkettung zwischen Antiglobalisierung und europäischem noborder-Netzwerk.

TALK ON SELFORGANISED MAGAZINES

an informal talk / presentation about selforganised magazines, with a focus
on the Greenpepper Magazine (Amsterdam), Manamana (Budapest) and MALMOE,
Derive and Cuntstunt (Vienna). (discussion held in english)

Miklos Erhard (editor of Manamana and part of the Artgroup the Big Hope)
will tell us about the hungarian irregular free magazine Manamana that aims
to connect the art-scene to the domains of civilian activity and political
activism.

Kernow Craig is coordinator of the greenpepper magazine (Amsterdam) and will
present „the magazine for social justice and environmental issues, a tool
for groups working toward social transformation.“ The editorial collective
is changing yearly and for each issue, and so the magazine is not a static
entity. Kernow will bring some of the most recent issue of greenpepper
abbout precarity, edited by Alex Foti from the Chainworkers and Zoe Romano.

Participants of viennese newspaper Projects like Malmoe, Derive and
Cuntstunt (tbc) will be present and explain their work.
