Kritische Künstlerische Praxis als Dissens // Critical Artistic Practice as Dissent Conceived and organised by Petja Dimitrova.

Wie begreift sich zeitgenössische politische Kunst- und Kulturproduktion in Zeiten des neoliberalen Kapitalismus? Welche emanzipatorisch-(repräsentations)politischen Fragen stellen sich in der künstlerischen Arbeit? Welche Möglichkeiten stehen im Kunst- und Kulturfeld zur Verfügung, welche sind zu entwickeln um sich als politisch denkendes und handelndes Subjekt zu positionieren? Welchen gesellschaftskritischen Inhalten kann mit welchen Produktionsformen begegnet werden? Welche davon waren und welche sind (bis) heute relevant?

Diesen Fragen, sowie jenen nach kollektiven Praktiken, Aktivismus und autonomen Räumen (selbst)ermächtigender Vermittlungs- und Wissensproduktion, wird im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung auf diversen Wegen nachgegangen: Ausstellungsbesuche, Screenings, Readings, Diskussionen, Gastvorträge, (Publikations)Projekte.

How does contemporary political artistic and cultural production define itself in times of neoliberal capitalism? Which emancipatory (representational-)political questions emerge in the artistic work? Which options are available in the artistic and cultural field and which should be developed in order to position oneself as a politically thinking and politically active subject? Which socio-critical matters can be confronted with which forms of production? Which of them were and which of them are still relevant?

Those questions, as well as the ones about collective practices, activism and autonomous spaces of the (self-)empowering production of knowledge and mediation, are examined within the course through different means: exhibition visits, screenings, readings, discussions, guest lectures, publication projects.
