ABOUT THE TALK: NO ORDER - Art in a Post-Fordist Society Talk and discussion with Marco Scontini who will present the bookzine „NO ORDER. Art in a post-fordist society“ dedicated to contemporary art, education, politics and culture.

Moderation: Ana de Almeida/Maria Elena Rodriguez

No Order is an investigation project published as a bookzine that focuses on the relationships between contemporary art and capitalism's production processes. In its first issue Art in a post-fordist society it assembles different perspectives on the interconnections between art, education, culture, politics, market and display, as well as on geopolitics in the post-industrial context. It explores the influence of the social and economical changes brought up by new forms of production in the scope of artistic practices bringing forward questions concerning authorship, representation, use value and exchange value in a contemporary context. The bilingual publication (English-Italian) is structured in three main sections: Time Zone, dedicated to a mapping of emerging artistic systems, Play Time on market and display and Time Machine which offers a revision of connections between time and productivity.

Hosted by Marco Scotini, editor in chief of No Order, curator and art critic based in Milan, the presentation in Salon für Kunstbuch in the 21er Haus will explore the political and social changes that have occurred since the release of No Order in 2010 in order to reexamine new and overlapping modes of production, distribution and reception of contemporary art circuits.

Marco Scotini is the Director of the Department of Visual, Performing and Multimedia Arts and Director of the MA of Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies at NABA in Milan. He is Director of the Gianni Colombo Archive (Milan), and one of the founding members of Isola Art and Community Center in Milan. His writings can be found in pblications such as Moscow Art Magazine, Springerin, Flash Art, Domus, Manifesta Journal, Brumaria, Chto Delat/What is to be done?, and Alfabeta. DEUTSCH: Mittwoch, 25. April 2012, 19 Uhr; Salon für Kunstbuch at 21er Haus, Schweizergarten, Arsenalstraße 1, 1030 Wien.

No Order - Art in a Post-Fordist Society Vortrag und Diskussion Gast im Salon: Marco Scotini Moderation: Ana de Almeida / Maria Elena Rodriguez
