The inequalities which perpetuate the AIDS pandemic are not inevitable; we can tackle them. This World AIDS Day, 1 December, UNAIDS is urging each of us to address the inequalities which are holding back progress in ending AIDS.

December 2, 2022, Friday at 14.00 zoom with the bip students, would be great to come and would be great if some of you could talk and explain what is going on. This will be really important so check out the zoom invitation as well.

Marina Grzinic Mauhler is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

Workshop B4 will be a collaboration between Grzinic and 2 scholars Mag. Polina Baitsym (Ukraine) and dr. Saša Kesić (Belgrade) that are in the winter semester 2022/2023 in PCAP (Studio Post-conceptual Art Practices).

Mag. Baitsym (Ukraine) researcher in PCAP for her doctorate will focus on art in Ukraine before the war and after, the implication on art history, etc. the avant-gardes on the relation Russia /the Soviet period - Ukraine in the 20 century.

Dr. Kesić (Belgrade) will discuss main points of what he developed in his research regarding definitions of queer, homonationalism, pinkwashing. Examples from art and theory regarding pride parade and geopolitics will be exposed.

They will both develop discourses, and visuals touching the theme of former Eastern Europe, specifically Ukraine-Russia/the Soviets and former Yugoslavia/Serbia. The Soviet Union, officially the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), was a transcontinental country that spanned much of Eurasia from 1922 to 1991.

The goal is, historically and presently, to discard the psychotic systematic violence against the Lgbtqi+ community /Serbia/ or to see the relations of the Soviet Modernism in Ukraine, in the light of the aggression on Ukraine.
